Hi Y'all, I'm your local real estate expert specializing in the Counties just north & east of Nashville. Sumner County is approximately 25 miles northeast of Metro-Nashville. Hendersonville, the City by the Lake is the largest city, & Gallatin, voted The Nicest City in America in 2017 is the county seat. Other cities include Goodlettsville, White House, Portland, Westmoreland, Millersville, & Mitchellville. If you are looking for a more rural out of the city limits type setting, then consider Cottontown, Bethpage, or Castalian Springs...be sure to visit Bledsoe State Park. Robertson County is north of Nashville just up I65. Springfield is the county seat...make plans to walk around the the historic town square. Other cities include Adams, you can float the Red River that will take you by the Bell Witch Cave, Cedar Hill, Greenbrier, Ridge Top, Cross Plains, Orlinda, & parts of Millersville, White House and Portland. You know it's fall in Robertson County when you see all the "smoking tobacco barns." Wilson County is east of Nashville off of I40. Lebanon is the county seat and is home of the Wilson County fair & the Tennessee State Fair...these are must do's! Mount Juliet is the largest city between two lakes, Old Hickory & Percy Priest Lakes. It has some of the best retail & restaurants in Middle Tennessee, & it just a short 15 minute commute to BNA airport. Wilson County also offers smaller more rural areas such as Watertown, Gladeville, Tuckers Crossroads, & LaGuardo.
