Alyson is everything you could ask for from a realtor and a person: articulate, smart, honest, efficient, down-to-earth, relatable and just gets things done. We made an offer on a quirky yellow house on a hill in a charming neighborhood filled with dog walkers and joggers. Alyson went to work. She was methodical. She outlined all the steps, identified issues, provided rich insight, liaised like nobody’s business. It did not feel like she was running a business. It felt like she was looking out for family. Before we knew it, less than 30 days after we made an offer on a new home, our dog was doing his zoomies in and out of our quirky, 1920s, 2,000 square foot home seated in the heart of the historic Hilton Village in Newport News. She was able to provide very timely updates throughout, I was never in a state of confusion or uncertainty of what was going on in secret, as all aspects were transparent. She also was able to give me a heads up as to what to expect in the coming days, fees to be paid, inspections and what to expect, any closing costs were also explained; all of the aforementioned were communicated to me in such a way, that i could absorb the many facets of the home buying process, so as not to be overwhelmed by it all. it was all an enjoyable experience.
