It is the little things that one remembers. My husband and I had been looking at houses for sale for a few years. It was more of a Sunday drive hobby than a hard push, but once in a while we saw a house that sparked our interest. Usually, calls to the number listed on the yard sign yielded a voice message with no call back. Ever. Kathy Geraci was memorable from a few years ago because she called me back right away and talked at length about a house she was representing. When it came time for us to sell our house, Kathy presented herself as personable while being professional, positive while being realistic, instructive while being respectful. She knew our neighborhood and had sold other houses in it. Her years of experience was as deep as her energy and joy in her work was fresh. We knew right away we wanted to work with her, especially after interviewing another realtor. The way she presented herself is how she remained throughout the process. We are very happy with her service. We were under contract within 4 days of advertising the house. Kathy priced the house exactly right, we think. The way she handled the inspections and repairs was great. She knows lots of people in the field and got us the people we needed for the repairs, but always checking with us first in case we had other ideas. She guided us through the whole process: all questions were answered thoroughly, sometimes late at night. When we ourselves needed to get busy taking care of what we had to do, she let us know in no uncertain terms. When we wondered or worried if we needed to take care of other things, she assured us that she was doing her job and had things under control. She did her job very well, and they were under control. Kathy was with us in person for the closing which made us feel supported right to the end. The staff at Great Land were also very helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. They seemed happy in their jobs, which I thought reflected well on how Kathy was with everyone, not just clients. Melinda was very good in handling our previous property management. Barb was a nice voice to hear on the phone when I called the office, and always made me feel that she could give me all the time I needed. My husband and I noted the little things Kathy said and did that spoke to her integrity and approach to life. While she represented us and "worked" for us, as she put it, she held the larger philosohy of hoped for satisfaction for all. When she gave away hamburgers to the public at the local Bear Paw parade, she insisted on buying better meat at the local butcher rather than a cheaper alternative. It was so great working with Kathy, and those in her office, that, when it was all done, we sort of wished we had another house to sell or buy, just to keep her in our life! We found her frank, good-humored, unassuming, knowledgeable, and wise. Thank you, Kathy!
