We met Stacey Smith by accident and are very glad we did! We tried to go to an open house in the DSM area and the real estate app we were using did not update in time to let us know that the open house was cancelled. We drove around the area looking for a different open house and found one that Stacey happened to be hosting. After exchanging contact info we met up to discuss what we were looking for in a home. Stacey came prepared and walked us through the home buying process as this was our first time. She broke down the process in easy to understand steps and made it all seem a lot less daunting. After a few months we found a home that we loved and wanted to put an offer on and did. The offer was accepted but our landlord would not let us out of our apartment lease early. We had to wait another year before we could try again. Throughout that long waiting period Stacey stuck with us, checking in every once in awhile to see if we had questions, wanted to see a house, or just to see how things were going. Time passed and we were able to put together an offer for a home we loved even more and now it's ours! Stacey did such an amazing job for us and was truly by our side the whole time. We would absolutely recommend her to all of our family and friends and look forward to our next home when we can enlist her services again.

As first time home buyers, my fiancé and I appreciated that no question seemed to be too basic for her to answer – and we had a lot of them! Stacey is very friendly and was always prompt in her communication. She was kind and straightforward at once. We would definitely recommend her to someone looking to buy a home! Stacey reached out to us via Facebook. She saw that I showed interest in a house, and left a comment saying she could show us the house if we were interested. We met shortly after that at Grounds for Celebration and discussed our needs, later seeing the house. I love how she took the initiative to find us! It was a good partnership :-) We also appreciated the use of the moving truck! We were able to move all of our furniture in one trip! Stacey is extremely knowledgeable about Des Moines. We even used the mortgage lender that she suggested, and it could not have been easier! All in all, we are very satisifed about working with Stacey Smith, and we would gladly work with her again. (Though we intend to stick around at this house for a while!) We never thought we would have a personal relationship with our realtor, but we look forward to one day having Stacey into our home now that we're getting settled in.
