Justin: My first months as a real estate agent at a new company (Century 21 PORTFOLIO) were 16-hour days, 7 days a week. After 4-6 months with no income and running low on savings, I finally closed on a multifamily apartment complex, which gave me enough lead way to get where I am today.
November of this year will be my 9th year as a licensed Realtor®. 2+ years as an Executive Broker.
Justin: Yes, the first deal is always the most difficult deal to get to closing, and once you get that first transaction completed unfortunately it doesn't get any easier, but you start developing skill sets that equip you to handle the situation more efficiently for yourself and your clients.
Each deal has its general steps to go through, but no one real estate deal is ever going to be the same. The best way to overcome this is to reflect on each deal when closed. Take notes on what you did right and where you could get better and improve. Apply what you've learned to the next transaction. From that, you grow as an agent a little bit with each transaction closed.
Justin: I believe that with the right mindset and the will to achieve something, there is always a solution to any situation that may arise. It's not what happens in life, it's how you react to it that matters most.
Justin: I would do it all over again. I think you can truly do anything that you put your mind to. Just take the first step, you'll figure it out along the way. You don't have to know everything before you take the first step. Just have to start.
Justin: I love that I get to serve my community with the biggest investments of their lives. I’m always learning something new on the job. It also gives me freedom over my schedule.
Justin: The first transaction I ever closed because I finally broke through and successfully closed my first deal. Once I closed the first transaction, I knew I had the skill set to close more.
Justin: I'm humbled by God's grace, I get to do what I love for a living.
